The 1794-TB32 Flex I/O 24 Volt AC/DC Terminal Base Unit by Allen Bradley is a terminal base unit designed specifically for 32 point modules to provide connection points for input/output wiring. It has a 32 I/O maximum connection capacity, with 8 common terminals and 8 Voltage terminals, and is used in a 31.2 Volt DC application. It has a current capacity of 10 A, and a FLEXBUS rating of 640 mA and 5 Volts DC, with 2 A maximum I/O terminal rating, and a V/COM terminal rating of 31.2 Volts DC/AC at 50 to 60 Hertz. It is capable of providing 50 Volts circuit isolation with Basic Type insulation tested at 2121 Volts DC for 1 minute between Field-Wiring Terminals to FLEXBUS.

The 1794-TB32 has both IEC T4 and T4A (North America) temperature codes and comes with an open style enclosure. It has an operational temperature range within -20 and 70 degrees Celsius (-4 and 58 degrees Fahrenheit) in a 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity level, and is stored at -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit). The 1794-TB32 is tested to maintain performance within standard specification at a 5 G operational vibration and a 30 G shock rating. It has approximate dimensions of 94 x 94 x 69 millimeters (3.7 x 3.7 x 2.7 inches) with the module installed on it and is c-UL-us and CSA certified.
 
FLEX I/O can be mounted horizontally or vertically on standard 35mm DIN rail or panel mounted without derating. These modules also come in an XT version, which are conformally coated, and operate in extreme environments. These modules operate in a temperature range from -20C/-25C to 70C.
