E+H Ultrasonic Level Transmitter Setup​

​​Maintenance Requirements​​

•    The level transmitter ​​requires no special maintenance​​.

​​Basic Configuration​​

1.   ​​Initial Setup​​:

   •    Press the ​​E​​ (Enter) key to access the ​​primary menu​​.
   •    Select ​​"Basic Setup"​​ and press ​​E​​.

2.   ​​Tank Geometry​​:

   •    In the ​​secondary menu​​, choose the tank shape (e.g., ​​"Flat Ceiling"​​ for flat-top tanks).
   •    Press ​​E​​ to confirm.

3. ​​  Medium Type​​:

   •    In the ​​tertiary menu​​, select the medium type (e.g., ​​"Liquid"​​).
   •    Press ​​E​​.

4. ​​  Surface Condition​​:

   •    In the ​​quaternary menu​​, select the surface state (e.g., ​​"Turb Surface"​​ for turbulent liquid surfaces).
   •    Press ​​E​​.

5. ​  ​Empty Calibration​​:

   •    Set the ​​"Empty Calibr."​​ distance (e.g., ​​5.500 m​​ – distance from flange to tank bottom).
     •   Press ​​↓​​ or ​​↑​​ to adjust the value.
   •    Press ​​E​​ to confirm.

6.   ​​Blind Zone (Blocking Distance)​​:

   •    Set ​​"Blocking Dist"​​ (e.g., ​​0.35 m​​) to define the non-measurement zone near the sensor.
   •    Press ​​E​​.

7.   ​​Full Calibration​​:

   •    Set the ​​"Full Calibr."​​ span (e.g., ​​5.15 m​​ = 5.500 m – 0.35 m).
     •   Press ​​↓​​ or ​​↑​​ to adjust.
   •    Press ​​E​​ repeatedly to return to the primary menu.
   •    Press ​​↓ + ↑​​ simultaneously to exit to the display screen.

Display Unit Configuration​​

1. ​​  Access Menu​​:

   •    Press ​​E​​ to enter the primary menu.
   •    Navigate to ​​"Linearisation"​​ using ​​↓​​ or ​​↑​​, then press ​​E​​.

2.   ​​Unit Selection​​:

   •    In the secondary menu, select ​​"Level DU"​​ and choose ​​meters (m)​​ as the unit.
   • ​​   Note​​:
     •   ​​"Ullage CU"​​ displays the level as a percentage (e.g., 50% = half-full).
