AB CompactLogix 8 Pt A/O Current Module 1769-OF8C
The AB 1769-OF8C is Compact I/O module. This module is compatible for use with the 1769 and some 1768 CompactLogix controllers as well as with the MicroLogix 1500 controllers. This module is an analog output module, typically used for driving Final Control Elements (FCE) of a control loop as well as deliver signals to receiving and measuring elements.
The 1769-OF8C mainly features Eight (8) Single-ended current output channels, configurable for 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA. It features 16-bit Digital to Analog Converter (DAC), with specific resolution of 15.59 bits, 0.323 µA/bit for 4-20 mA and 15.91 bits, 0.323 µA/bit for 0-20 mA. It has a conversion rate of 5ms on all channels and step response to 63% output of less than 2.9 ms. The analog output range is 0-21 mA and 3.2-21 mA.
Typical Final Control Elements (FCE) that can be driven by the 1769-OF8C are Modulating Control Valves, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Positioners and other devices. To be used in automatic control loop, this module may be integrated to a Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) controller that is embedded within the processor. Compatible receiving and measuring elements that can receive signal from this device are panel meters, data loggers, signal splitters and other similar type of devices.
The 1769-OF8C is a single width module, that can be installed along the 1769 and 1768 CompactLogix assembly as local I/O and part of the expansion I/O rack. It may also be used with MicroLogix 1500 controller.
